SHIFT POWER YOGA INSTITUDE · 200HR RYT · COHORT 20

This isn't a yoga certification.

It's the training that changes everything else.

Six weekends. A methodology built over eleven years. A community that stays with you long after graduation. And a version of yourself you won't be able to un-become.

YOGA ALLIANCE RYT200

THE HONEST VERSION

You can get a certificate online in 30 days.

Or you can get a life.

The yoga teacher training market is full of options. $499 online courses. Destination retreats in Costa Rica. Certifications you can complete between Netflix episodes.

They'll all give you the same Yoga Alliance designation as this training.

"Here's what they won't give you: the version of yourself that only emerges when you've spent 200 hours doing real work — on the mat and off it — in a room full of people doing the same."

We've run this training since 2015. Twenty cohorts. Hundreds of graduates. The results are consistent and they go far beyond the mat.

Relationships deepen. Communication clarifies. Fear loosens its grip. Confidence becomes something you actually have — not something you perform.

And yes — many graduates go on to teach extraordinary yoga. But that's almost a footnote to what actually happens here.

THE CURRICULUM

What 200 hours actually looks like

We go deep — into the practice, the philosophy, the body, and the person who shows up to do the work.

01

Nervous system regulation

Not as a concept — as a lived practice. You'll learn why you do what you do under stress, how to interrupt patterns that aren't serving you, and how to help others do the same. This alone changes how you lead, parent, partner, and teach.

02

The philosophy of yoga — as a way to live

Not history. Not theory. A living framework for how to move through the world with integrity, presence, and meaning. We bring the ancient texts into your actual life — your relationships, your work, your internal landscape.

03

Leadership and communication

How to hold a room. How to build trust. How to speak with authority that comes from the inside out. How to lead with your whole self — not just your credentials. These skills transfer to every role you play.

04

Anatomy and the physical practice

A thorough grounding in the body — how it works, how yoga works on it, and how to teach safely and intelligently. Functional anatomy, hands-on assists, sequencing, and the Baptiste methodology in full depth.

05

How to teach — really teach

Cueing. Sequencing. Reading a room. Adjusting in real time. Building classes that serve people — not just look good on paper. By graduation, you'll have taught in front of real students, received real feedback, and found your real voice.

06

Who you are and what you're here to do

This is the thread running through everything. By the final weekend, you'll know — more clearly than ever before — what you value, what you believe, and what you want to build with the rest of your life. That clarity is not a side effect. It's the point.

WHAT GRADUATES SAY

Twenty cohorts of transformation

"The most mind-blowing, challenging, worthwhile, meaningful journey I have ever experienced. I discovered what I am truly capable of as a yoga teacher and as a human being. This is a yoga teacher training and so much more — it has changed my life forever."

SPY GRADUATE

"I can't see there being a comparable teacher training that offers as much value for your dollar. Come for the great learning environment and leave feeling empowered and with a greater sense of self and purpose."

SPY GRADUATE · KELOWNA, BC

"Pam Rader and her entire staff go above and beyond. I felt completely supported throughout the entire training. All lessons were delivered exactly as promised. The ongoing mentoring offered is second to none and invaluable to my continued growth and confidence."

SPY GRADUATE · KELOWNA, BC

"I have never met teachers who stood for the greatness of every single human being in a training course — on and off the mat. They truly gave me a gift and shared tools and principles that taught me how to stand in my own greatness."

SPY GRADUATE

"A real community was created amongst all students and teachers. I was empowered, supported, and loved. And I still feel this way even after the training has ended."

SPY GRADUATE

"An overall fantastic program with lots to offer experienced yogis as well as beginners. I signed up with very little experience and cannot believe the amount of information — and transformation — I gained.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You don't have to want to teach yoga.

About half of every cohort enrolls with no intention of teaching a single class. They come for other reasons — and they leave changed in ways they didn't anticipate.

You've been practicing yoga and you want to go deeper than a regular class can take you.

You're at a crossroads — in your career, your relationships, your sense of purpose — and you know something needs to shift.

You're a coach, therapist, counselor, or wellness professional who wants to add embodied, nervous-system-aware tools to your practice.

You're a current SPY student who's been sitting with "maybe someday" for longer than one season.

You want to become a yoga teacher — not just a certified one, but a genuinely confident, competent, transformative one.

You want to belong to something. A community of people doing real work, asking real questions, and choosing to grow.

You're tired of living at half capacity — and you're ready to find out what full looks like.

The one thing every person in every cohort has had in common: they were ready to stop waiting.

YOUR TRAINING TEAM

Taught by people who've done the work

Every trainer in this program is a graduate of the SPY system. They don't teach from theory. They teach from experience.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Answered honestly

Do I need to be an advanced practitioner?

No. In 20 cohorts, we've never seen someone fail because they didn't have enough yoga experience. We've had students join with six months of practice and students with ten years. The readiness that matters isn't physical — it's the willingness to show up honestly and do real work. If you have that, you're ready.

What if I have no intention of teaching yoga?

About half of every cohort enrolls without any intention to teach. They come for personal transformation, career transition, community, or simply to understand themselves more deeply. The RYT200 certification is a genuine bonus — but the deeper result of this training has nothing to do with what you do professionally afterward.

How is this different from an online YTT?

An online training will give you the same Yoga Alliance letters after your name. What it cannot give you: 200 hours of lived nervous system experience in community, mentorship from teachers who know you by name, relationships that last years past graduation, and the version of yourself that only emerges when you've done hard things in a room full of people doing the same. The certificate is identical. The transformation is not comparable.

Is a payment plan available?

Yes. A $500 non-refundable deposit reserves your spot, and the remaining balance can be structured through the training period. Indicate on your application that you'd like to discuss payment options and we'll reach out during your interview.

What happens after I apply?

Once we receive your application, we'll review it and reach out to schedule a brief phone interview with Pam. This isn't a gatekeeping exercise — it's a genuine conversation to make sure the training is the right fit for you at this time. Accepted students will be asked to pay the $500 deposit to confirm their spot.

Space is limited — how early should I apply?

Cohorts are intentionally kept small to preserve the depth and quality of the experience. We recommend applying as soon as you feel ready. Deposits are taken on a first-come basis once acceptance is confirmed.

Complete this application in full. Once received and reviewed, Pam will be in touch to schedule a brief conversation before acceptance. Space is limited — if you're ready, apply now.

ONE LAST THING

The timing will never be perfect.

It might be exactly right.

In twenty cohorts, the people who showed up were rarely the ones who had everything lined up. They were the ones who decided that waiting was more expensive than beginning.
